Like Sharing Your Ideas? Become a CAT!

We had another great year at the 2015 Ideas to Impact Conference. A total of 774 clients joined us in Dallas, Texas to learn new skills to move their ministry forward. If you attended, what did you learn? Share your stories in the comments below or on our Facebook page.

This year, I helped the User Experience (UX) team. We conducted usability tests, hands-on experiments, and one-on-one interviews. One mission of the UX team is to find out how you use our software in your job. We gather information from churches of various sizes, denominations, and cultures via “the CAT”. Then, we submit your feedback so our developers and designers can improve the software to better meet your needs.

What is the CAT?

The CAT is our Customer Advisory Team, where you have the power to influence the future of your software. This is your chance to be part of our research and have your voice heard. The best part is, there are no right or wrong answers! We test the design of our products, not your abilities, so there’s no pressure on you.

Who can join?

The CAT is open to anyone and everyone! You don’t have to be a Realm client to inspire the future of our products. In fact, we like a mix of those who are familiar with Realm and those who have never seen or heard of it before. Our goal is to ensure that all of our clients stay happy for the long run.

What do I have to do?

When exploring for better designs, we like to go straight to the source – YOU! We want to understand more about your responsibilities, goals, pain points, needs, and ideas. And you decide your level of involvement. You can:

  • Complete a 10-minute survey online
  • Take a 30- to 60-minute usability test online or in-person
  • Join a 60-minute design review meeting online
  • Let us visit for a 1- to 2-day observation at your church

We value any amount of time we can get with you. Choose how often we contact you: once a year, monthly, weekly, or whenever we need feedback. If it gets to be too much, feel free to opt out at any time.

Sign me up!

If you want to share your thoughts and help us improve future products, sign up for the CAT here. This form asks questions about what you do at your church. That way, we can involve you in research projects that are most relevant and matter to you. We can’t do what we do without you!
You can also talk to us at the 2016 Ideas to Impact Conference in Baltimore, Maryland. Registration is open now!
