This week we want to introduce you to Kimi. She is a Product Business Analyst in our Product Management department. Kimi has been a team member since 2007. She has worked in several different roles throughout her years with ACS Technologies.
Kimi is from a small town called Fork, South Carolina. The town doesn’t have any stoplights to give you an idea of how small it is. One of her top personal goals in life is to empower and inspire others. She strives to do her best every day. When she watches her son with his pure, sweet kindness, she thinks to herself, if everyone was more like him, if everyone had the drive to be good and kind, and to do whatever needed to help people, the world would be better. In her free time, she likes to pretend she is on the TV show, Chopped. She pulls random ingredients to see if she can make a meal out of it. Sometimes it works out for her and sometimes it doesn’t. She most recently learned how to make a red velvet cake from scratch for her Granny’s 81st birthday.
Let’s check out what her typical workday looks like, why she loves working at ACST, and her driving passion for the Church.
What does a typical day look like at ACST for you?
I spend a lot of my day speaking to our ministry partners about different needs they have. Proactively setting up research calls for us to gather their opinions on upcoming projects and find out how we can build items in Realm that will further their ministry goals. I am the administrator of our Realm Ideas for Ministry feedback forum that allows them to voice their needs and from time to time, I also create surveys to gather additional research from our ministry partners.
What do you love most about working at ACST?
It’s the atmosphere. My best friends are here with me, even though I didn’t know any of them before I started. Knowing that I get to come to work each morning with my best friends and work to build God’s Kingdom, is incredible. We are all in this together, for one purpose.
What is your driving passion for the Church?
I grew up in the church with my papa as the pastor and my granny as the secretary. Learning how to use a computer to assist her with her job. I always thought it was because I was born for it. I still call my dad to tell him things I learn in case it helps with his Sunday School lesson. Then, a year ago, I found out that a parish in Florida, that I helped move to our PDS OnDemand platform, was the one who made sure that my homeless sister gets to eat every day and gets medical care. They’re the ones that provided her with a cell phone so we know she’s ok. When I saw that, I broke down in tears. I realized how much of an impact we get to make by helping our partners do their ministry.
